This is a great book for young ones interested in dogs. The illustrations are bold, the story is cute and shows cause and effect, and the book isn’t too long (it’s maybe 10 or 12 pages). In this story big dog and little dog are hungry, then they are sleepy, then they are lonely. It ends with “shhhh, big dog and little dog are sleeping” which my 3 year old son just loves to hear me say! It’s a super cute book, so I bought two other Big Dog Little Dog books. You can’t find these in book stores–so get them here.

I bought the whole set of these and my daughter could not get enough of them night after night. Very simple but the author brings out the characters of the big and little dogs beautifully. These are real gems.

Can’t complain when the request is for an easy to read book that you can find different things every time to talk about. Sure by the 3rd time you want to say no let’s pick another book to read but with these books you can find things in the pictures themselves to talk about. This not only makes you ok with reading it over and over again but also shows your child a whole new way to read a book.

I ordered all the big dog little dog books for my son and he loves them. Almost as much as my wife and I do… This one is good, but I would recommed the others more. They are all great for kids…

This is a very amusing short story with adorable illustrations. My son is one and he cannot sit still for a long story, at any time. He loves the pictures of the ‘doggies’ and the funny things that they do. We have a big dog and a little dog in our home so it is especially fitting. (Big dog goes to sleep on little dog’s bed, and little dog sleeps on big dog’s bed) This is one of a series of stories about the adventures of Big Dog and Little Dog, and they’re all great. I suggest buying the entire series.
