When I saw the word "complete" in the title, I thought thepublisher probably stretches the truth. . . but now that I've read that the title does not go far enough to describe it. This book covers much more than medical care. For example, under the care of an older dog, is the advice practical, simple and has nothing to do with medicine or disease. Simple things like buying a soft dog bed. Changes in lifestyle that can not heal, because something can not be, but it can make her happier dogalot. Dog care books are generally well written by a veterinarian, who takes the linear approach to western medicine, or holistic practianer see no reason to hide the doctor's office. This book is written for an association between a veterinarian and a great person and the book shows the wisdom of both, and suggests when and how to use one or two strategies. Common sense abounds. Always practical information. In a section on diabetes, the authors list of dog breeds most likely to be sensitive. If you have one of these breeds can make recognition of the characters more easily. They do this for most of the diseases discussed. And discuss more. Prevention, nutrition, homeopathy, herbs, traditional Chinese medicine. bodywork, alternative therapies and conventional medicine, and much more. It is a thick book full of information. If you have a dog, you need this book. . . . although I really think that much of what they say can be applied to all animals, including humans.

Verified Amazon purchase (What is this?) I have a wide selection of books on health, they can reference. I realized recently that I went to the first book again and again and often do not have to search any of my other books. Usually cross reference material, but I found valididated information from different sources in this book so often that I reserve the problem and simply refer to this book now.
Rarely do I find "in a book that will" in any book, but this definitely has it all, and the information is not extreme. The authors acknowledge the balance sheet, we recognize that a variety of methods to attack a problem and presenting every detail and nonjudgmental.
For example, if a dog is vomiting and nausea occurs first distinguish between acute and chronic. If acute, first, providing information on dietary supplements in liquid form, then homeopathy, then herbs, acupuncture and methods eventually other flower essences and is considering addressing the emotional state of the dog. If chronic, which is quite comprehensive, but provides other opportunities to continue in the attempt to treat the dog vomit.
In addition to the specific proposals for the treatment of many health problems, very clearly and professionally as abundant illustrations in the book. In the part of the vomiting, shows a drawing dog's digestive tract and one of the acupuncture points for the digestive tract. Referring to the illustrations in the text, the authors also relevant reference letters and additional illustrations elsewhere in the book (and give page numbers! ") That will further explain the information provided in this illustration, that of finding the exact point of the meridian dog.
Readings by the authors focused on the book, including nutrition, homeopathy, herbs, acupuncture, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine, bodywork and energy medicine. The authors touch on some other areas of therapy, but focus primarily on the issues just mentioned.
I found the images to be very valuable. They are fitted throughout the book that shows some of the dogs that are relevant to the text. The illustrations are not particularly detailed, are sufficient to explain. They are clear, concise and easy to understand.
In general, this is the most comprehensive book on holistic dog care on my shelf. I eventually get rid of the others because they did not compare at all to the exact title, "The Complete Holistic Dog Book".

I sat with this book with the intention of going through her a "kind of first look through the form and read for four hours – without stopping. I started with homeopathy, the section that had a good discussion about how resources are made and used. I am a novice in this field medicine, but found explanations clear, concise and informative. I turned to the dog section – and found a large amount of valuable information on the importance of puppy socialization – How to give my puppy to many different people, dogs and places (after the vaccination schedule is complete, of course!), Help them learn the customs, gives confidence and makes me the luxury and joy of having me to many places without having to worry about their behavior. The book also describes how to choose a good coach and compassionate. There is a section on "Letting Go" – always a difficult and painful part of sharing their lives with an animal. I found the author's personal advice and sincere. The chapters on the new vaccination protocols and nutrition are informative and complete. Although both authors recommend a homemade diet, even tell the reader how to choose a diet of high quality, very well. I thank the author and balanced approach to explain things – which are often lacking in many books. Excellent. The book is loaded with helpful charts and diagrams and history. Moreover, there are large images of "dogs were found" scattered throughout the book. Clearly the love of these two authors in their topic and want to improve the lives of puppies, dogs and humans. I strongly recommend.
